For all my blog topics on work and the food industry. I learned that food is somehitng I never want to go into again for a job or career. The food industry just isn't for me but Im thankful for a job that I can learn responsiblity and make that money.

How to Make Poor Man's Casserole



Poor Man's Casserole takes about a half hour to make. It is the easiest and cheapest way to feed a family. It is also the quickest dinner to make when time is limited. Kids and adults enjoy this tasty casserole. Make some cheese garlic bread to go along with the Poor Mans Casserole in as little as ten minutes. This recipe is great for a quick and affordable meal when the kid's friends come over. This recipe makes 5 to 6 servings.

things you'll need:


  • 1 pound of hamburger or ground chuck
  • 1 15 ounce can of corn
  • 1 10 3/4 ounce can of Campbell tomato soup
  • 2 cups of uncooked elbow macaroni

  1. How to Make Poor Mans Casserole

    • 1
      Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    • 2
      Start boiling water for elbow macaroni. Add a little oil to water to prevent macaroni from sticking together. Add a dash of salt to the water.

      Brown hamburger or ground chuck in a large skillet. Drain any grease from the skillet and place hamburger in a large casserole dish.

      When the macaroni water is boiling, add the elbow macaroni to the boiling water and keep stirring until done. When the macaroni is done, drain the macaroni in a colander and rinse with cool water. Add the macaroni to the hamburger.

      Open a can of corn and drain all the liquid out. Then add the corn to the hamburger and macaroni.

      Add the tomato soup to the hamburger, macaroni and corn. Mix well so that everything is blended.

      Cover the casserole dish and place in the preheated oven for a half hour to warm.
